New Year, New Blog

New Year, New Blog

There are some years I just won’t ever remember, even with the good or the bad.  Previous years and decades get fuzzy.  If you ask me what 1978 was about, I most likely will say “I know The Bee Gees had some songs on the radio”.  But, 2020 will not be easily erased from our minds no matter how long we are on this planet.

I did a lot of blogging in my down time, and made more videos for YouTube than I have all the other years combine. Remember all those times we said to ourselves “when I get around to it” wondering if we ever would? Well, we did. As for me, I created too many projects, Acan Journal (The Mayan God of Intoxicating Drink), but then published a book called Tiki Triangle for all things related to Tiki, Tropical and Polynesian Pop.  Naturally, I could not ignore my Sicilian roots and began blogging on Ravenite Club, which was to be an extension of my Sicilian Culture website I started more than 20 years ago.

Now the bills come in faster than the paychecks, due to obvious reasons, especially if you are a wedding photographer and videographer like me.  So, while looking at the hosting bills for 4-5 different projects, I thought it was best to consolidate them here all in one blog until things improve, or I get some help, or can actually make a living from all these special separate interests to at least pay for them without it being (another) expensive hobby.

A lot of material you see here might be from my other blogs, but I also wanted to start fresh, become more focused, and yes, more organized.  While it might be hard to believe, not everything sucked about 2020, but this is my effort to start fresh, with a positive, focused attitude for 2021, starting here.
